The Message of the Cross Have you heard
the good news about the message of the cross that is
offered to all whom God created?
Would you like hear more about this good news of God’s love, His will for you to believe and be forgiven of your sins, to begin a personal and spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ the Lord, and go to heaven one day? God created all people from the same blood and it His desire for all people to be saved. There is no partiality with God. Acts 17: 26-27 And God has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. 1 Timothy 2:4 God desires all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Romans 2:11 For there is no partiality with God. Acts 4:35 But in every nation whoever fears God and works righteousness is accepted by Him. It was Jesus Christ, born of virgin, sent from Heaven, who was without sin to be a sacrifice for the sins of the world, and to provide the only way by which one can inherit eternal life in Heaven by the way of the cross. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to God the Father except through Me. Our sin problem revealed: Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. The penalty of our sin and the gift of God: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sins on the cross: Luke 23: 33 And when they had come to the place called Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals, one on the right hand and the other on the left. Jesus Christ was God's love gift for us even though we are all sinners: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His love towards us that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Jesus said we must repent which means to acknowledge sin is wrong and turn to God by faith in Jesus Christ to be forgiven of the penalty of sin. Luke 13:3 I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. The sacrificial death of Jesus on the cross by His shed blood, saves all who believe in Him from the future wrath of God in hell. Romans 5:9 Much more then, having been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. Jesus said in Matthew 10: 28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear God who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. The Gospel, the way of salvation explained by the Scriptures, God's word: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. That Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures and that He was buried and that He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures. Believing always follows the preaching, hearing, or reading of Gods word: 1 Corinthians 15:11 Therefore, whether it was I or they, so we preach and so you believed. Confessing and believing in Jesus to save you must be done through faith: Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Romans 10:9-13 That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scriptures says, whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame. For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. After believing in Jesus you will receive the forgiveness of sins: Acts 10:43 To Jesus all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive the forgiveness of sins. After believing in Jesus you will never be alienated or separated from God: Colossians 1:21-22 And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight— Today is the right day to believe and be saved: 2 Corinthians 6:2 For God says, In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold now is the accepted time, behold, now is the day of salvation. You can call out to God and believe in what Jesus did for you on the cross today and receive the forgiveness of sins, the gift of eternal life in heaven, and a new spiritual life to live now with Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It is your decision and you must do it yourself. It is first personal then it is made public by telling others what Jesus did for you. Your new changed life in Christ will be a witness to others for they will see that you are different than you were before you believed. Jesus said in Luke 8:39 Return to your own house, and tell what great things God have done for you. And he went his way and proclaimed throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him. Back to Homepage |
